                        Portland Update.  

Portland's staging of the Jamaica Teachers Association’s Athletic Championship, for Primary, All Age and Junior High Schools, was completed on Friday March 8, 2013, at CASE (College of Agriculture Science and Education), campus, Passley Garden, Portland. 

The results are as follows:- 

First Place went to Port Antonio District Association. 

  The schools in the Port Antonio DA are Norwich Primary, Bound Brook Primary,  

  Port Antonio Primary (Park School), Ken Wright and Drapers All Age.   

Second place went to East Portland District Association.  

  Schools in the East Portland DA are all schools east of, and including Boston Primary.  

Third place went to St. Georges District Association. 

  Schools in this District Association are all schools to the west of and including St. Margaret's Bay     Primary.  (Mt. Pleasant Primary,Rock Hall Primary, Maidstone Primary, Fruitful Vale, Bybrook, Buff  Bay and others).  

 Fourth place went to the Rio Grande Valley District Association.  

    Schools in this DA are those in the Rio Grande valley including Fellowship.  

  The National finals will be held at the National Stadium on May 18 and 19.  We are hoping that Portland will retain the Championship they have held for the past three years, in succession.
